The annual Apple ‘Time Flies’ event took place yesterday and here are its highlights

The Apple watch series 6:
The Apple watch series 6 was the first product to be announced by Apple. It is now run by the new s6 processor that is said to be 20% faster than that of its predecessor. The stand out feature is that your Series 6 can now act as a oximeter and check your oxygen levels in your blood stream. It can also measure how well your cardiovascular system is functioning. The display now gets 2 times brighter than its predecessor and now comes in 7 different colors. The Apple watch series 6 price starts at $399 in the US and Rs.40,990 in India.
The Apple watch SE:
The Apple Watch SE gets a similar design to that of the Apple Watch series 6. It now also gets a larger Retina display. It is powered by the S5 dual core processor, Apple claims that its 2x faster than the Series 3. It also comes with fall detection and sleep tracking. The build is now made up of 100% recycled aluminium.
Apple Fitness+:
Apple launched its new fitness service called the Fitness+ for its Apple watch users. It allows you to select your workout session and duration. It comes integrated with Apple music also comes with 10 different workout types. It costs $9.99 per month or $79.99 for a year in the US. Fitness+ is not coming to India at launch.
iPad 8th Gen:
The iPad 8th was announced at the Apple event yesterday and there are some major changes compared to its predecessor. Firstly, There’s the A12 Bionic to the A10 in the older iPad making it more capable of handling heavier tasks. It also now supports Apple’s Smart Keyboard and the Apple Pencil. The iPad 8th Gen’s price starts at $329 in the US.
Apple One:
The Apple One is a subscription package for its users. It consists of Apple music , Apple TV+ , iCloud and Apple Arcade. The Individual pack comes at $14.99 for a month with 50GB iCloud storage. The Family pack comes at $19.95 for a month with 200GB iCloud storage. The Premier pack comes at $29.99 with 2TB iCloud storage with Fitness+ and News+.
Apple iPad Air:
Next onto the list was the Apple iPad Air. It comes with a 10.9 inch Liquid Retina display. It also gets the new TouchID integrated with the power button. It is powered by the new A14 bionic chip based on the new 5nm architecture, Apple claims it offers 40% better CPU performance and 30% better graphics compared to the iPad Air(2019). It also comes with a capable 12MP rear camera. It now comes with a USB-C port now for faster data transfer. The price of the Apple iPad air starts at $599 in the US and Rs.54,900 in India.
