Xiaomi’s new flagship, A oneplus 7 killer?

Xiaomi’s sub-brand redmi are all set to launch their very first flagship device in India in the form of the K20 series which would consist of the K20 and K20 pro. The phones were launched in China on the 28th of May 2019.

Specifications and Features:

Lets start with the design of the phones, Both phones come with a glass back which gives it a premium feel to it but could prove to be very fingerprint prone, hence usage of a case is preferable.

On to the display, both the phones come with a 6.39 inch FHD+ AMOLED display which has a display resolution of 2340×1080 and also houses a indisplay fingerprint sensor. It comes with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio providing a true bezel less experience with almost 91.9% screen to body ratio.

Next on the list is the performance of the phones. Here’s where things differ between the 2 phones. The K20 is powered by the Qualcomm snapdragon 730 which runs on the 8nm process technology whereas the The K20 Pro runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 which is Qualcomm’s latest flagship grade processor running on the 7nm processor technology.

Only difference the two being the primary lens i.e in the K20 it would consist of the new SonyIMX582 whereas the K20 Pro has the SonyIMX586 which has been previous seen in the likes of the Oneplus 7 series. The front camera on the other hand in both phones remains the same which is a 20mp pop-up camera.

Both phones will be powered by a 4000mah battery. The K20 Pro can now be charged through a maximum of 27W charger via the type C port whereas the K20 supports only 18W. The phones are set to be launched in several configurations varying from 6+64,8+128 and 8+256.
